Protec General Insurance has selected insureMO to build an AI-native insurance core as the newly licensed insurer prepares to launch and scale retail and commercial insurance products in India. The partnership focuses on creating a flexible technology platform that can support the insurer’s growth.
The platform will use APIs and microservices to manage key insurance functions. These include product configuration, rating and quotation, underwriting, policy issuance, servicing, billing, payments, claims, document generation and distribution.
Protec General Insurance Plans Faster Product Launches
Protec General Insurance will use insureMO’s APIs to connect with distribution channels and ecosystem partners. This setup can help the insurer launch new products and make product changes faster as customer and market requirements evolve.
The platform will also support AI-powered product configuration. Its modular design can help Protec General Insurance add or adjust individual insurance capabilities without depending on traditional monolithic systems.
The insurer will also gain tools for rating, underwriting, policy servicing, claims and distribution through the same technology ecosystem. This approach can give the company greater flexibility as it builds its retail and commercial insurance operations.
AI and Digital Technology at the Core
Aditya Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of Protec General Insurance, said the technology will give the company the flexibility and speed to introduce relevant products, respond to changing market needs and improve experiences for customers and partners.
Protec General Insurance has received its Certificate of Registration from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and plans to begin serving customers soon. The company says it aims to combine AI and digital technology with customer-focused insurance solutions.
The partnership with insureMO was announced at the Global Fintech Festival 2026 in Mumbai. For Protec General Insurance, the technology investment provides the foundation for its planned entry into India’s retail and commercial insurance markets.
